原发性食管小细胞癌是非常少见的食管恶性肿瘤,近年来食管小细胞癌的发病率似有上升趋势.食管小细胞癌的生物学行为、治疗模式及预后均不同于鳞状细胞癌,其恶性程度高、预后差,目前尚无统一的治疗规范.本文就近几年来有关食管小细胞癌的研究进展作一综述.

Primary small cell carcinoma of the esophagus is a rare disease, characterized by aggressive progression. It has a high incidence of metastatic disease at presentation and a poor overall prognosis. Treatment protocols are not well established because of the paucity of cases and a lack of large studies. In this article, we will review the recent advances in the clinical and therapeutic aspects of primary small cell carcinoma of the esophagus.
