The current study of the library and information science abroad in 2008 focuses on perspectives of knowledge management, digital academic communication, library publishing, scientometrics, information organization models and mechanism, metadata and folksonomy, library consortia and copyright issues in the library. These research trends could ensure that theoretical studies be sustainable, and open the window for domestic researchers to know about the latest research abroad in 2008.
