Video Transcoding Technology Based on Stream Adaptation of SVC

摘要 针对现有转码技术中存在的转码质量低、运算复杂度高、存储容量大和成本高等缺陷,提出一种转码改进方法,将SVC(scalable video coding)应用到转码中以解决以上问题。将改进方法与传统转码技术进行了比较,实验证明,基于SVC的转码不仅复杂度大大降低,并且RD性能也优于传统转码。 Existing transcoding technology has the problems of low transcoding quality, high computational complexity, large storage capacity and high cost. A improved method of transcoding which uses Scalable Video Coding (SVC) to solve the problems of existing transcoding technology is put forward. The SVC transcoding and the traditional transcoding are compared in a simulation. The result shows that the SVC transcoding outperforms the traditional transcoding with lower complexity and better RD performance at low bitrates.
