垂直分辨率与水平分辨率协调问题的研究

RESEARCH ON THE COORDINATION OF VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL RESOLUTIONS

本文从二维线性平流方程出发(二维是x方向和p方向),其垂直和水平的空间导数均取中央差,按差分方程中垂直分辨率引起的截断误差和水平分辨率引起的截断误差相等的原则,导得了平流方程的中央差格式中垂直分辨率和水平分辨率协调的关系式,并对此关系式作了详细讨论,对我国中期数值天气预报模式垂直层次和水平格距的确定有一定的指导意义。

The relationship formula for the vertical and horizontal resolution coordination in the centered finite difference scheme of the adveetion equation(the vertical and horizontal spatial deviatives in the adveetion equation being transformed into centered difference)is derived and fully discussed from the two-dimensional linear advection equation(the two dimensions are in x and y directions)and on the principle of equality in the truncation error caused by vertical resolution and that caused by horizontal resolution in the difference equation.This study is important for the determination of the vertical levels and horizontal grid spacings in the Mid-Range Numerical Weather Forecast Model of China.
