With the development of the college English teaching reform, more and more Multimedia technology was introduced into college English teaching and it posed a great challenge to the traditional teacher - centered method. By analyzing the content of the college English teaching reform and illustrate the advantages as well as the weaknesses of the multimedia teaching, the thesis provides some suitable suggestions and a new model of college English teaching.
