Origin of Plural Affix -nar and -ner in Mongolian Language

蒙古语复数词缀-nar、-ner为专门表达指人名词的复数,语义上与-uul、-l,-ud、-d相同。-nar、-ner为复合词缀,是由早期集合数词缀*-tan、*-ten加-la、-le演变而来。*-tan、*-ten+-la、-le演变为*-tala、*-tele后经过进一步语音变化演变为-nar、-ner。因此,-nar、-ner在来源上与-uul、-l(<*-tun、*-tn+-la、-le)一样,只是有了不同的语音演变。

In Mongolian language, the plural affix -nar and -her which have the same meaning of -cuul, -cüül, -cud, and -cüd express plurality in human nouns specially and stem from aggregate numeral affix ＊ -tan and ＊-ten being added -la and -le. After further phonics evolvement, ＊-tan being added -la evolved into ＊ -tala, and ＊ -tan being added -la evolved into ＊ -tele. Therefore, in spite of different phonies evolvement, the origin of -nar and -net is the same with -cuul and -cüül.
