Brezhnev 18 Years recorded the whole history of the age when he was in power. The author illustrated in detail the relationship between the whole stagnation of the Soviet Union and the formation of the privileged class through the first hand materials. The book gave a special analysis on the effect caused by the disintegration of the Soviet Union, and paved the way for Brezhnev study, but also aroused the further researches on him in the academic field.
