The female images in the Puttizer Prize features (1979-2008)are explored from the perspective of multiculturalism. The author points out that most female reported in the features are victims of crime, illness and poverty. They belong to the disprivileged group and low class. Most of the features focused on the tragedy of survival, aging, illness and death. The female suffered from male violence, race discrimination, poverty and homicide, which are caused by the problems existing in the judicial system and social aid system. The intense coverage of Pultizer Prize features on women's status is rooted in the multiculturalism.
