顺应论视角下的语用模糊探讨

Pragmatic Vagueness in Terms of Linguistic Adaptation Theory

语用模糊是交际的一种常见现象,是交际双方在交际活动表达和理解过程中出现的种种不确定性的总称。本文运用Verschueren的语言顺应理论对交际中的语用模糊现象进行了解读,语用模糊是根据语言变异性、协商性和顺应性的特点,对话语形式、话语内容或语用策略进行选择及推理结果进行判断的动态顺应结果。语用模糊是语言动态顺应性的产物。

Pragmatic vagueness is a common phenomenon and a general concept of all sorts of indeterminacy in the process of expression and comprehension of actual communication.This paper examines the vagueness by adopting Verschueren＇s linguistic adaptation theory and reveals that pragmatic vagueness is the result of linguistic dynamic adaptation.In terms of the variability,negotiability and adaptability of the language,pragmatic vagueness is realized by choosing linguistic forms,contents and pragmatic techniques and drawing inferences through the fuzzy information.
