The study of ideological manipulation of translation is of great significance in translation studies.On one hand,it offers a new perspective;on the other hand,it deepens the understanding of the subjective initiative of the translator.Levefere and Bassnett＇s conception that ideology has absolute influence upon translation is a new dogma.This paper endeavors to explore some relevant points from the perspective of ideology.Theoretically speaking,translation only receives influences from ideology to a certain extent,or relatively.Moreover,the subjective initiative of the translator also plays an important role in translating.
