论小学英语课程的教学要求与原则

The Teaching Requests and Principles for Primary School English Curriculum

全国自2003年秋开始在小学三年级开设英语至今已有六年的时间,并业已取得较大的成绩。然而,要真正实现或达成小学英语课程的目标,除了应加强小学英语师资建设以外,必须进一步加强对小学英语课程的性质、目标和教学要求等的认识,并遵循如下三个教学原则:一是注重培养学生英语学习兴趣的原则;二是突出培养学生英语学习习惯的原则;三是培养学生初步应用英语语言能力的原则。

It is six years for the third grade in primary schools to start English teaching in China since the fall of 2003, and has achieved greater results. However, to truely achieve the goal of primary school English curriculum, apart from strengthening the development of a contingent of backbone teachers, we should further strengthen the understanding of the nature, goal and teaching requests of the primary English curriculum,and we should comply with the 3 principles of lay emphasis upon cultivating students＇ interest in English learning, prominently cultivate or develop students＇habit of learning and train students＇ ability to preliminarily use English.
