According to charactristics of exciting winding of big capacitance earthing distribution and high excitation vdtage in Laxiwa hydropower units, the paper puts forward rotor one point earthing protection of adding direct power supply, and expounds the protection＇ s principle, earthing resistance choosing, cautions in operation and maintenance, and protection＇ s characters in details.
