摘要
年画的历史虽然悠久,但研究年画的历史却不到百年。目前研究者大多限于研究各地木版年画的起源沿革、兴衰经历、艺术特色、刻版技法等等,对年画的文化价值和对黎民百姓的教化功能却鲜有触摸。其实,年画之所以经久不衰,主要在于它纪史载道的文化功能和培养民族精神与个人优秀品德的教化功能。在纪史载道承传优良传统的过程中,在培育中华民族精神、铸就中华民族灵魂的过程中,年画功不可没。
Spring Festival pictures have a long history but research into them lasts less than 100 years. Most current researchers confine themselves to studying woodcut Spring Festival pictures＇ origin, their rise and fall, artistic features and techniques of carve printing blocks in different places. Very few study their cultural value and functions of educating the common people. The prolonged existence of these pictures is mainly attributed to their cultural functions of documenting the history and spreading moral doctrine and the educating functions of cultivating national spirit and excellent individual quality. Spring Festival pictures have made great contribution to cultivating national spirit in the process of moulding the soul of the Chinese nation.
