The application and constitution of nitrogen based atmosphere nitrocarburizing production line are intorduced. The factors influencing nitrocarburizing quality are analyzed, including the used equipment and atmosphere composition. It is pointed that the nitrocarburizing using the nitrogen based atmosphere mixed with NH 3 and CO 2 as main carrier has advantages of lower gas supply cost, more stable and safer operation and better quality reproducibility.
