萨义德思想与巴勒斯坦民族主义

Said's Thoughts and Palestinian Nationalism

一直以来,巴勒斯坦民族面临着极为尴尬的处境,建国的目标遥不可及。生长在西方的巴勒斯坦裔知识分子爱德华.萨义德在中东政治权力、文化身份被淹没的情境下,挺身而出并投身到巴民族解放的斗争之中。萨义德对巴勒斯坦民族主义的认识充满矛盾,他在理论上明确反对民族主义,但在实际的政治活动中,强烈真挚的中东情结和民族身份认同感注定了他的民族情感倾向。本文通过考察巴勒斯坦民族主义语境下的萨义德思想,挖掘萨义德思想中深刻的民族忧患意识以及呼唤民众起来斗争的内涵,以使更多热爱和平的人理解和支持巴勒斯坦的解放事业。

Edward Said came forward and plunged into the Palestinian liberation struggle in a specified period of history when the political power and cultural identity of the Middle East were submerged. Said's understanding of Palestinian nationalism is filled with contradictions. He was unequivocally opposed to nationalism in theory,but in practical political activities,his strong and sincere feeling for the Middle East and his national identity determine the trend of his national emotions. After studying Said's thoughts in the context of Palestinian nationalism,this paper will tap deeply into Said's sense of national crisis as well as the content of the struggle to arouse the people so as to inspire greater understanding among the peace-loving people to support the Palestinian cause of liberation.
