Structural adhesives are becoming increasingly important as a mean for joining metals in car body construction. This paper briefs the main features and process requirements of a structure adhesive developed by Henkel. Experiments show that structural adhesives are a valuable tool to increase performance of car body structures, to reduce weight and simplify as well as optimize manufacturing cost.
