The best determining conditions for determining calcium oxide content in phosphate rock and concentrate by potassium permanganate volumetric methods were ascertained. It was easy to operate,titration end-point was easy to observe. it had low RSD （RSD were 0.56%）,stable data. Many tests proved that the detection method was convenient and results were satisfactory.
