In a muhicuhural country like Singapore, multicuhuralism not only provided a rare opportunity for building a ＂harmonious society＂, but also raised a serious challenge. Singapore promotes muhicultural interaction by the development of a consensus on national identity, thus fulfilling equality under the ＂common values＂. Ultimately a national ＂integrated diversity＂ model accelerates the building of ＂harmonious society＂ in Singapore.
