澳大利亚前总理鲍勃·霍克一直致力于推进中澳关系的发展,尤其是在北京申办2008年奥运会的过程中,霍克出任澳大利亚华人华侨支持北京申办奥运会名誉主席,为北京申办奥运作出了贡献。

Bob Hawke was born on 9 December 1929 at Bordertown, South Australia. He was educated at Perth Modern School and the University of Western Australia, where he graduated with the degrees of Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts （Economics）. He was Western Australia＇s Rhodes Scholar of 1953 and studied at Oxford University from 1953 to 1955, graduating with the degree of Bachelor of Letters.
