Linguistic Formalization Differences Between English and Chinese Language and Implicitation Processing of Translation

语言形式化是指某一语言表现某种意义所依靠的各种方式,包括音调、语序、屈折变化及功能词等的丰富程度,以及该语言对这些形式手段的依赖程度。由于英汉两种语言对这些形式手段的依赖程度不同,在英汉翻译转换中,常常表现出英语作为形式化程度较高的语言在汉语译语文本中的隐化现象,需要译者根据具体情况对译文做适当的隐化处理,忠实传达原作的意思。

Linguistic formalization refers to a variety of ways on which a particular language performs a sense, including the tone, word order, inflection and function words as well as on the dependence of the means the language depends. Due to the dependence of different means between English and Chinese language, implicitation is shown in English-Chinese Translation conversion from English language as a higher degree of linguistic formalization to the Chinese translation, which needs translator to have appropriate implicitation translation treatment according to specific circumstances so as to convey the original meaning faithfully.
