Abnormalities of the cellular immune system have important roles in the development of dilated cardiomyopathy （ DCM ）. DCM patients have been found to have cardiac antibodies in the blood which causes myocardial inflammation. Immunoadsorption is a technique that can extract antibodies from the blood, thereby decreasing myocardial inflammation. This may offer a new therapeutic option for DCM patients.
