Study on Character of Refraction Difference for Quartz Crystal Rotation

摘要 石英晶体的旋光率与入射光波长有关,利用石英晶体的这种性质可以实现对光波长的检测。石英晶体的旋光率除了与入射光波长有关外,还与右旋光和左旋光折射率差值(n+?n?)有关。文中分析了在834~841 nm波长处右旋光和左旋光的折射率差值的特性,并通过实验验证,得出了在该波长范围内右旋光和左旋光的折射率差值近似为一个常数,旋光率与右旋光和左旋光折射率差值近似无关。 Rotation power of quartz crystal would change with wavelength, and the character of quartz crystal may be used to check light wavelength. In addition, the rotation power of quartz crystal would also change with the refraction difference of right-handed rotation and left-handed rotation. In this paper, the character of refraction difference of right -handed rotation and left-handed rotation is analyzed and verified by experiment in 834~841 nm wavelength, the experimental result shows that the refraction difference of light-handed rotation and left-handed rotation is approximately a constant within this wavelength range. Rotation power of quartz crystal approximately has nothing to do with refraction difference of right-handed rotation and left-handed rotation.
