In order to make it easier for professional staffs to understand various standards of centrifugal pumps and further know the selection procedures of centrifugal pumps, the procedure as well as matters needs attention in centrifugal pump selection for petroleum and petrochemical industries from four aspects were introduced： the standards selection, purchasing procedure, review of manufacturer documents, preparation for shipment of centrifugal pumps.
