Sima Qian was a historian who was proficient in military strategy. He had formed his systematic and unique rational knowledge on issues of war and army. His view of war was an important component of his historical thought. He had thorough comprehension of origin of war, definition of war, nature of war and ethnic war. His view of war now still has its own value which is worth treating earnestly.
