2009年是当代西方教育思想大师、美国哲学家和教育家约翰.杜威诞辰150周年。在漫长的人生道路上,杜威以敏锐的意识与积极的态度始终从实践和理论两个方面对现代教育进行了探索。尽管在这个探索过程中,杜威既受到了赞扬也受到了攻击,但他的学术研究逐步走向成熟,并对美国和世界教育的改革与发展产生了广泛而深远的影响。综观约翰.杜威的心路历程,可以清楚地看到他对一种理想教育的追求。
This year is the 150th birthday of John Dewey, contemporary western master ot eoucauonai thoughts, American philosopher and educator. Dewey has long been probing into both the theory and practice of modern education. Despite praises and attacks, Dewey turns gradually mature with his academic achievements, which have had a profound influence upon the transformation and development of American education.
