摘要
历来把"明清"思想断层看得过于严重并不妥当,事实上,清代士人在面对儒学与宗教的关系问题时,显然无法置身于宋明文化传统之外,若从明清两代宗教文化的角度看,则可发现明清思想存在着"连续性"。本文着重考察清儒对宗教典籍的阐释、宗教文化的信仰以及鬼怪故事的叙述,尝试对于"后16世纪"中国社会的思想、道德与文化之特质提出一种理解的新视角。笔者以为,通过这一尝试,或有可能将"明清思想"与"宋明理学"的研究视域衔接起来。
It might be improper to overrate the importance of the ideological chasm between the Ming and Qing. The Qing intellectuals obviously could not take themselves out of the tradition of Song-Ming when they faced the relation between Confucianism and religion, and from this angle, an ideological continuality is found in the Ming-Qing thoughts. This paper focuses on Qing Confucians' interpretation of the religious classics, the religious culture and the narration of the supernatural. It brings a new angle for the ideology, morality and cultural characters of the post-16th Century's Chinese society, which might be able to link the Ming-Qing thoughts to the Song-Ming Confucianism.
