On Craftsmanship of Ethnic Female Culture in Southwest

少数民族妇女既是社会生产生活的创造者,也是承载者和传承者,还是少数民族文化的开拓者。西南少数民族女性民族民间传统手工艺中的挑花、编织、刺绣、纺线等,都凝聚着少数民族女性生产生活实践中创造的手工技艺知识和智慧。少数民族女性手工艺和服饰文化,包括制作过程中的纺织、印染、刺绣,这些都是以妇女为主体承当的。

Women of ethnic minorities are not only the creators of social production and social life, but also the carriers and inheritors, and pioneers of ethnic cultures. Such traditional craftsmanship as hand stitching, weaving, and embroidery and spinning thread among ethnic women in Southwest China is technical knowledge and wisdom created by these ethnic women in their practice of life and production. The craftsmanship and clothing culture of ethnic minorities women include weaving, printing and dyeing, and embroidery, which are all undertak- en by women as a mainbody.
