In the Novel Kn/fe in Clean Water, the author depicted a folk legend by narrating such a folk custom as sacrifice so as to rescue the dead, making the novel strongly culture-loaded and have big esthetic value. Therefore this novel had endless esthetic value artistically. The achievement of this artistic effect mainly depended on the ＂strangeness＂ of＂ the others＂ of folk cultural resources.
