摘要
研究了金刚石单晶,以钻和碳化硅作粘结剂的金刚石聚晶及CVD金刚石薄膜被软磨头摩擦和磨损时的行为在正压力和摩擦产生的拉应力联合作用下,单道次摩擦时,TiB2磨头可以使金刚石单晶表面产生“八字形”裂纹多道欢摩擦时。
Here we have studied the friction and wear of various diamond-based specimens,i.e. single crystal diamond, aggregates with a' binder' phase of cobalt or silicon carbide, and apolycrystalline coating produced by a chemical vapour deposition process, when deformed by sliders made from soft materials. With titanium diboride (TiB2) sliders, it is shown that the combination of normal and tangential forces is sufficient to cause the initiation of ‘ chatter’ -type cracking in single crystal diamond and that multiple traversals result in the formation of a wear groove. Similar grooving is developed in all of polycrystalline diamond specimens and particle cracking is established as the principle mode. Exceptionally, with low friction forces and no metallic transfer, significant grooving is observed with aiuminum and mild steel sliders cumulatively deform the CVD-coated specimen.
