On the Width of Space and the Depth of Space for "Ocean" Development

"海洋"开发可分为广度空间与深度空间两部分,并都具有"无限"延伸的特征。本文从社会科学的角度阐述了海洋和"新海洋"开发广度空间与深度空间定义和意义,并进一步提出了海洋和"新海洋"深度空间控制权的概念。划分海洋和"新海洋"开发的广度与深度空间,从政治地理学的角度对于科学地分析国际关系,人类与自然的关系,制定相应的政治、经济、外交、军事政策,具有重要的现实意义。

＂Ocean＂ development of space can be divided into two parts- the width of space and the depth of space- with the feature of being ＂unlimited＂. From the perspective of social sciences the paper elaborates on the classification, definition and significance of the width of space and the depth of space for the ocean and the ＂new ocean＂ of development, and further puts forward the control concept of the depth of space in ocean and the ＂new ocean＂ development. The division of the width of space and the depth of space is of practical significance to scientifically analyze intemational relations from the perspective of political geography as well as the relationship between mankind and nature, and to develop the appropriate political, economic, diplomatic, military policy.
