素质教育实践的困境及其解释——一个信号传递的视角

摘要 素质教育因其能够“促进人的发展”,体现了“人本”教育理念,受到了政界和学界的支持,因而表现出极大的理论优势和主流话语权。然而,素质教育的实践经历了20多年的发展却收效甚微。本文基于信号传递的视角探寻素质教育步履艰难而应试教育大行其道的原因。实际上,素质教育与应试教育之间不是一种简单的对立与否定关系,二者之间存在着交叉和重叠。现实中,教育理念的丰富和教育模式的多样化存在才能满足不同的社会需求。 Essential-Quality-Oriented (EQO) education is supported by politicians and scholars for its ability to "promote human development" , which reflects the "humanistic spirit" of educational philosophy. EQO education showed great theoretical advantages and the mainstream right of speech. However,the practice of EQO education in more than 20 years'development has achieved little success. This article is based on signaling view to explain the dilemma of EQO education and the popularity of examination-oriented education. As a matter of fact, the EQO education and examination-oriented education is neither simple confrontation nor negative relationships,they are crossing and overlapping relationship. In fact, the rich content educational philosophy and the diversity models of education are fatal factors to meet different needs of society.
