区域人口学还没有成熟的理论和方法,一些学者常将区域人口学与人口地理学混淆,其学科名称、研究对象和研究范围需要进一步规范,与其他相关学科的关系需要进一步探讨,特别是与人口地理学之间的关系是必须解决的关键问题。注重区域人口学,加强区域人口问题的研究,才能制定切合本地实际的人口发展规划,促进社会的和谐发展。

There haven't mature theories and methods for Regional Population Studies. Some scholars often confuse the conceptions of regional demography and population geography,thus,the name as a discipline,object and scope of the study need to be further standardized,and its relationship with other disciplines requires further exploration. Its relationship with population geography is a key issue particularly. Focusing on regional population study and the strengthening regional population study will contribute to scientific planning of local population development and the harmonious developing of society.
