汉英颜色词“红”与“白”的文化内涵及翻译中的不对等现象

Comparison of Cultural Connotations and Unequal Forms in Translation of Color Words in Chinese and English—Red and White

在跨文化交际中,颜色词作为一种语言符号在汉英两种语言中具有不同的用途、文化价值和文化意蕴。本文从"红"和"白"两种颜色词着手,对汉英颜色词在文化内涵上进行初步的比较和探讨,并对颜色词翻译中的不对等现象进行简要分析,以期为英语学习者提供一些参考,便于减少在跨文化交流中的障碍,实现和谐有效的交流目的。

In Chinese and English, color words play different roles and reflect different cultural value and connotations. This paper discusses and compares their cultural connotations of color words in Chinese and English -- red and white, and analyses the unequal forms in translating color words in order to reduce communication barriers and realize harmonious intercultural communication for English learners.
