摘要
拉萨"3.14"骚乱事件之所以得到西方一些政客和主流媒体的声援,在于西方人长期以来对西藏的想象一直有一种东方主义的阴影,他们把西藏神化了。虽然随着中西权力关系、支配关系的变化,西方的中国形象、中国西藏形象也发生演变。但是自中西交往以来,西方关于中国西藏的想象一直存在一种图式化处理的倾向,即以西方的基督教文化来建构西藏,或把西藏想象为基督教文明的未来、希望,或把西藏想象为基督教文明应该超越的低下的、专制的、野蛮的社会形态。在全球化迅猛发展的今天,要打造中国的国家形象,推进中西关系的健康发展,必须破除西方人的东方主义。
One of the important reasons that the "3.14" riot in Lhasa supported by some western politicians and mass medias was the occidental orientalism. Tibet was defied by the occidental. Although the images of China and China's Tibet of the occidental have changed with the shift of power rela tionships between Chinese- Occidental countries, there is always a tendency to construct the Chinese and Tibetan images in the sight of Christian religion since the communications between them. Sometimes China and Tibet were imagined as a hope and future of Christian civilization;sometimes they became an antithesis,namely an underdevelopment, autocratic and barbarous society. In the period of globalization,the occidental orientalism should be eradicated in order to shape the Chinese image and healthily promote the relations between Chinese-occidental countries.
