摘要
刘天华是在"五四"新文化运动的影响下投身音乐事业的。他的音乐美学思想集中体现在1927年后的一些文稿中,这时正是他对人生与音乐艺术的见解日臻纯熟的时期。其美学思想受到"五四"时期所倡导的"民主"与"科学"的新思潮,以及"平民文学"和蔡元培提出的"美育"等新观点的影响,强调音乐这门艺术对人类的功用,提倡"音乐要普及到一般民众中",提出音乐的发展要从东西方文化的调和与合作中打出新路。
Liu Tianhua devoted himself into Music under the influence of the May 4th New Culture Movement. His musical aesthetic ideas embodied in some of his papers after 1927, when his understanding with the time. His aesthetic ideas were influenced by the new ideas of "democracy" and " of life and music art grew up science" initiated in the May 4th Movement, by the new idea of "popular literature" and by Cai Yuanpei ' s new idea of "aesthetic education". His ideas emphasized the function of arts for people, advocated that "music was supposed to be spread among the ordinary people" and proposed that the development of music should look for a new road from the compromise and cooperation between the Eastern and Western culutares.
