It analyzed the geological causes of the entrance collapse of Gangtou tunnel in the middle route of the South-to-North Water Transfer project,and described the geological condition,treatment measurement and prevention measurement.It gave a suggestion of using concrete lining in the entrance of the tunnel after evacuating the length of 200m.Monitoring the deformation of the surrounding rock is an important pre-warning method.It cannot emphases the construction progress with neglecting to the construction safety.
