文章对反治法在温病过程中的应用作了较为全面地论述，认为在温病的治疗中“寒因寒用”、“通因通用”、“塞因塞用”的实质是清泻内郁之邪热，通下实热积滞，滋阴润燥以充化源。指出反治法是针对疾病过程中出现的某些表象而言的，就疾病的本质来说依然遵循“治病求本”

The author believes that the essence of the methods of “treating pseudo-cold syndrome with medicines of cold nature”,“treating diarrhea with purgatives”and “treating obstructive diseases by tonification”is to remove accumulated heat,nourish yin so as to supplement the sources of production and transformation.The author points out that reverse treatment is to be used only with reference to some of the manifestations of diseases,and that as far as the nature of the disease is concerned,it is advisable to follow the principle of “searching for the primary cause of disease in treatment.”
