从"墙垣"这个具有围护与景观双重属性的元素入手,首先分析江南古典园林中界面与空间层次的关系,接着阐述造园中对墙垣的处理手法;对扬州寄啸山庄进行实例分析,介绍其丰富的墙体艺术;最后论述扬州与苏州园林风格的差异及其成因.

The wall of gardens which not only have the attributes of enclosure but also landscape. The auther analyzes the relation of interface and space in the traditional southward gardens, expounds design of wall in gardening, present the art of wall design of a traditional garden named Jixiao Shanzhuang in Yangzhou,and discusses the difference between Yangzhou and Suzhou traditional gardens artd the cause of the differences.
