The article starts from the conceptions of place and place spirit. Firstly, combining with the construction background of the School of International Studies（SIS） of Peking University, the article unscrambles the construction place of the SIS from the three dimensions： environment, architecture and human. Then the article analyses that how the space of the SIS makes response to the place. Through the unscrambling and analysis, the article wants to gain the results that the SIS can be the annotator of place spirit.
