The Netherlands presented 500 seeds of a new cultivated variety of tulip to the 2010 Shanghai World Expo organizer on December 20. it was especially created for the Expo. The Dutch government named the tulip the ＂Treasure of the Sea.＂ That＇s the literal meaning of ＂Haibao,＂ the name of the Expo mascot. The flower will have a bright orange bloom and black spotted green leaves in April.
