Abstract Cardiac tumours are rare lessions, almost all of them are metastases which occur predominantly in the right side of the heart. Primary cardiac tumours are extremely rare. The diagnosis is made chiefly by echocardiography, less frequently by angiography. Nuclear medicine imaging is a useful adjunt to echocardiography, sometimes it has unique value. There are three kinds of radionuclide imagings:(1). Gated cardiac blood pool imaging:The agent is 99m Tc-RBC. Tumours in the cavities often select this method; (2). Myocardial perfusion imaging: The agent can be 201 Tl or 99m Tc-MIBI. Myoucardial tumours are suit to it; (3). Avid-tumour imaging: 67 Ga is usually used when metastases of primary malignant tumours are considered. Different tumours have different characters.
