Institutional repository belongs to one of the three most significant advances in open access movement. The influence essential factors and its relative questions during the creating process determines whether or not institutional repositories could be successfully set up and develop sustai nably. Our research shows that system platform, content up -loaders, users and management policy are key factors for the creation of institutional repository and its sustainable development.
