In Guangzhou Xijiang River Diversion Project,the steel pipe jacked in the pip jacking engineering has big diameter,the main strata the steel pipe penetrating is medium sand layer, and there is abundant groundwater, so there is certain degree of construction difficulty. In order to ensure smooth going of the pipe jacking work,reliable water-proof and seepage prevention technique and measures are adopted during construction of working well and receiving well and during pipe jacking. In this paper, detailed construction measures are introduced.
