An empirical study on the evaluation of the technical opportunity based on the patents

摘要仅依据专利数量判定新技术的发展前景,是比较粗糙的。因此,本文提出的判断技术机会的方法,不仅要关注主要技术所在的技术领域的发展现状与其发展轨迹,同时要确认与主要技术具有相关性的其它领域。通过将专利总体样本进行时间上的分割,观察前后样本的变动情况,可以判断围绕新技术,其他关联领域是否与新技术发生了日益加强的关联,如果确实形成了围绕新技术的领域组合,那么新技术未来的机会就比较大了。 It is roughly to determine prospects for the development of new technologies based on the number of patents. Therefore, paper proposes a method to determine the technical opportunity not only paying attention to the major technological areas and its develop- ment but also confirming the other areas which in relevance with the major technological areas. Dividing the overall samples patent with the time spot, the paper observed the changes before and after the patent sample, which can help to judge the technical opportunity around the new technology and other associated areas. Around the new technology, there is a strong combination of technological areas, and then the technical opportunities are being higher.
