The calculation of meridian convergence angle and length ration is routine task in geodesy, but the equation derivation process is complex and hard understanding. The paper proposed a simplified algorithm to calculate the meridian convergence angel and the length ratio, and the computer routine was programmed. The results revealed the effect of the simplified algorithm is consistent with the traditional formula. This algorithm equation is easy deriving and understanding and programming.
