Wedding customs, like mirrors, reflect not only the temperament, aesthetics, values, moral ethics and religion of one nation, but also the social, political and economic context in a particular time. By studying the wedding customs in China and Britain, the author intends to suggest that Chinese weddings emphasize on festivity, while British weddings are more solemn and romantic.
