摘要
建校于1895年10月的北洋大学是我国近代史上的第一所大学,从这里走出了我国第一批自主培养的高级知识人才。北洋大学的所在地天津是我国近代体育的重镇,许多近代体育项目和体育理念在此登陆。然而作为近代人才培养体系的重要部分,有关这座中国最早大学的体育教育却鲜见于册,不啻为教育研究和体育史上的一块空白。文章试图从历史角度进行些许探究,以再现北洋大学与近代体育的关系。
Peiyang University, founded in Oct. 1895, is the first educational institute of higher leaning in mordem China, where the very first group of senior talented people of China was brought up. The city in which Peiyang University was located, Tianjin, is of great importance to Chinese modem sports, where many sports items and ideas to be fashion. However, the sports education of this university, which should be a fundamental part of modem talents cultivation, was fairly rare and a blank in the history of education research and sports. This thesis is to do some research with the viewpoint of history to reproduce the relationship between Pelyang University and sports of modem times.
