Analysis and evaluation of Internet resource distribution models

摘要 随着人们对网络上海量数据的传输要求的提高,对互联网的资源分发模式进行分析和评价越来越重要。目前主要的因特网资源分发模式包括传统Client/Server模式的网站、内容分发网络(CDN)和对等(P2P)网络三种。该文采用建模分析和实验模拟的方法,重点对可扩展性较好的CDN和P2P这两种模式进行了分析与评价,着重比较了它们的性能可扩展性。结果表明,合理增加缓存对提高CDN网络性能很有帮助,而P2P网络对缓存容量需求较小;CDN网络中核心网络带宽和用户接入网络带宽同步增长才能提高性能,而P2P网络中用户接入的网络带宽起主导作用。 The demands of rapidly increasing massive data transmissions require more detailed analysis and evaluation by Internet resource distribution models. Current Internet resource distribution models include the traditional Client / Server model, CDN networks and P2P networks. Simulations are used here to analyze the relatively scalable CDN and P2P models and compare their performance scalability. The results show that appropriate increases in cache size are helpful for improving CDN network performance, while the demand on the cache size for P2P networks is relatively smaller. For CDN networks, the bandwidth of the core network and the user access network should be developed together to improve performance, while for P2P networks, the user access network bandwidth is most important.
