Analyzing the Electronic Charges of Oil Drops with the Graphic Method Based on Residual Sum of Squares

用图示法描绘了某次测量中油滴带电量的残差平方和的分布。提出了求解基本电荷量的最小二乘解方法,有效地减少了测量误差。

The data of drop oil＇s electric charge is measured, and the distributed curve of its residual square sum is delineated by the graphic method. A new approach to find out the least-squares solution of basic charge is given. In this way the error influence from measuring is reduced effectively.
