中国古代地方城市形态研究方法新探

A New Exploration of the Methods for Researching Into the Formation of Ancient Cities in China

文章首先分析了中国古代城市形态的研究现状,认为由于研究方法上存在问题,因此当前对于中国古代城市形态的认识存在诸多问题。基于此,提出要素研究法,即将构成中国古代城市形态的各个要素分解开来,逐一进行长时段、全面的研究,然后再将这些要素的研究组合起来构成中国古代城市形态的抽象模型,从而得出对中国古代城市形态新的认识。

By analyzing the current researches on the formation of ancient Chinese cities, this paper argues that plenty of problems concerning ancient Chinese urban form have been caused by undesirable research methods. As a result, the paper puts forward a new method called ＂Element Analysis＂. According to this method, we first decompose the important elements of the formation of ancient Chinese cities into separate single elements ; next, we make a comprehensive study of them one by one on the basis of long periods of time for which they lasted ; then we devise an abstract model of ancient Chinese cities by combining the researches on every single element, thus reaching a new understanding of the formation of ancient Chinese cities.
